Visit the Lerderderg State Park
Thinking of taking a day trip this weekend? Make your way to Lerderderg State Park to enjoy nature and soak up some beautiful spring sunshine.
Only a 30-minute drive from Attwell, the Lerderderg State Park is home to many walking trails, picnic spots and the spectacular Lerderderg Gorge. Carved out by the Lerderderg River, this deep and picturesque gorge is renowned for its stunning scenery and is a popular hiking spot for experienced hikers.
With plenty of places to enjoy a picnic, including Shaws Lake, O’Brien Crossing, Lerderderg Campground or Mackenzies Flat Picnic Area, the Lerderderg State Park is the perfect place to spend an afternoon with the whole family. Keep your eye out for the many native Australian animals, including kangaroos, wallabies and koalas, that call this park home!
